Eden Hazard Confident of Winning Ballon D’Or Award in the Future

Chelsea star Eden Hazard says that he can win the Ballon d’Or award even while playing for Chelsea.

The Belgian winger has often been seen as one of the best players in the world beyond the impenetrable circle of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The two players have shared the title of being the best player in the world for the decade. However, there is a great opportunity for other players to step into this title for the first time since 2007, as Ronaldo and Messi have shown signs of falling from the peaks. One of the players who may have a good shot at the title isHazard.

The Chelsea midfielder was crowned as the PFA Player of the Year during the club’s 2014-15 league success. Even though he followed that up with a disastrous campaign in which Chelsea could only manage a 10th place finish,Hazard is once again back to his best this season. While his teammate N’Golo Kante has managed to pick up the crown of being the best player in England,Hazard has had a huge impact.

The 26-year-old has managed to score 15 goals in 34 league appearances this season. It has become one of his best campaigns in terms of scoring goals, as Hazard has benefited from Antonio Conte using him in a 3-4-3 formation.

"I hope to win the Ballon d'Or one day. It's in my mind. If I don't, it won't be a problem. I try to make a good career -- the best I can -- but I think some other players deserve to win it also. When Ronaldo and Messi retire, maybe it will be another couple of players like Neymar, Paulo Dybala or Antoine Griezmann, who knows? We will see. It's not something I think too much about. Could I win it? If I play next season, we win the Champions League and I win the World Cup with Belgium, why not?" said Hazard.
