OUTSTANDING SEASON FOR RONALDO

Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo has said that his season with the club has been outstanding, while he will give a 9/10 rating for the achievements of his teammates. Cristiano Ronaldo has been one of the best attacking players in the world for quite a few years.

He has been instrumental in helping Real Madrid get the title back from Barcelona after a gap of three years. Real Madrid have also created a record of being the first team to reach 100 points in the table. Even though they failed to improve on their Champions League semi-final appearance from last season, Cristiano Ronaldo has said that it has been a successful season nonetheless for him personally and in terms of the club.

The 27-year-old scored 57 goals in all competitions for the Real Madrid this season, while it also included the 46 goals he scored in the league as well. He finished just for behind the top scorer of the division – Lionel Messi. Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has been one of the many to come out in glowing praise of the Portuguese, while the former Chelsea manager also backed Cristiano Ronaldo to win the FIFA Ballon d'Or award, which will be handed out to the best player in December.

"I would give my season a ten on an individual level and collectively a nine, because we wanted to win more titles - the Champions League for example. We've been close this year, but we need to stay calm. The tenth will arrive in the next season or two. We know that everyone is focused on winning the Champions League. You notice it in the street, but we need to stay calm," Ronaldo told Spanish newspaper AS. Cristiano Ronaldo has already won the FIFA Ballon d'Or award once in his career.
