BALLON D'OR: LEWANDOWSKI SCORES AGAIN

Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski is determined to add another FIFA Ballon d'Or Award to his collection after he found the back of the net again to boost his credentials in the race for the FIFA Ballon d'Or Award for 2021.

Robert Lewandowski won the FIFA Ballon d'Or Award for 2020 last month ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and the Polish national team skipper is the man to beat in the race for the 2021 edition of the FIFA Ballon d'Or Award race.

He has lived up to his status as the early favourite to win the 2021 FIFA Ballon d'Or Award by starting the year in fantastic form with three goals in two games. His nearest challengers from last year, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have two goals apiece from the first two games this year.

Robert Lewandowski started the year with a brace in the German Bundesliga comeback win over Mainz 05 last weekend. Mainz 05 stunned Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena by taking a two-goal lead but the Bavarian giants were able to recover quickly. Bayern scored six unreplied goals against their opponents to win the game 6-2. Robert Lewandowski was responsible for the final two goals.

Lewandowski went on to take his tally to three goals in two league games this year after he netted a penalty on 20 minutes during the disappointing 3-2 loss at Borussia Moenchengladbach as Bayern Munich were paid back in their own coins. Robert Lewandowski and Leon Goretzka scored within the space of six first half minutes to hand the reigning European champions a two-nil lead away from home. Borussia Moenchengladbach offered then scored three goals either side of the break to turn the game on its head and secure victory. Jonas Hofmann scored a brace in the last ten minutes if the first half to level proceedings for the hosts before Florian Neuhaus scored the winning goal at the start of the second half.
