IS MBAPPE THE NEXT RONALDO?

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé is already widely regarded as a world star and has captured the hearts of many with his remarkable talent and attitude on the pitch. The young attacker is gifted in a lot of ways and has also attracted some comparisons between him and Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mbappé joined PSG from League rivals AS Monaco over two years ago and has since gone on to establish himself as a superb talent and also a likely future Ballon d'Or winner.

In his young career, Mbappé played a huge part as he helped his nation France defeat Croatia at the World Cup final back in 2018 to clinch football's most prestigious trophy.

He was pivotal for France as he scored one of the goals that sinked the Croatians, becoming the first teenager to score in a World Cup final since the Brazilian legend Pele. He has also been making a huge wave in the French Ligue 1 and even recently won the player of the month award in the league for the fifth time, equalling Zlatan Ibrahimovic's record when he was at the French club. And the OlyBet website predict he will beat Zlatan's record before the season is out.

In the UEFA Champions League, Mbappé has not come short. He has been a top performer in the competition and guided his team to the final of the competition last season but eventually lost to the high-flying Bayern Munich. Following his goal against the Bavarians in a rematch of last season's final, Mbappé became the first player to score up to five away goals in Champions League history.

Ronaldo currently holds the record for the most titles won, most goals scored, most assists registered, and most hat-tricks scored in the history of the Champions League and it is believed that if Mbappé continues to perform the way he currently does, he could well be as influential as the Portuguese legend.
